On Being Batmans

I just watched The Dark Knight. It's an amazing show. It made me think a lot, especially at the part where the Joker carried out the live thought experiment between the two cruise ships.

I think there's a potential for all of us to be little Batmans in our daily lives. After all, doing good deeds is not a means to self-glorification, not a shortcut to being regarded as a hero, but just to see other people around us living life a little better than before. Batman didn't want to claim credit for doing all those good things, in fact, he gave up whatever was left of his good name for the sake of keeping the hopes of the people in Gotham alive, that the beacon of light of truth will continue to shine and triumph over darkness and lies.

I feel a little inspired to be a little Batman in my life. Do you, after watching the show? Do something good, in anonymity, for what we feel is right and should be done, and not claim credit for it but just be satisfied that some good has been done to this world and we can all inspire each other.

Think about it.
